Description
Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge?! Inspired by traditional fairytales and their magical and mythical characters. Just the thing for igniting creativity and providing hours of dressing up fun.
Easy for children to put on and take off themselves, it makes an exciting instant costume for World Book Day, Hallowe'en, birthday parties, school plays, fairytale characters including Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Elves and the Shoemaker, festivals and more.
It is handcrafted from soft suedette fabric, with beautiful appliqué and a wonderful attention to detail. The hat has large playful ears with contrast vibrant yellow lining and trimmed with red ric rac braid. The tabard features a knotted neckerchief at the centre front, with fun zig zag shaping at the lower edge. The bright red patches also provide a lovely contrast with the vibrant purple colour.
Materials & Fit
Our costumes are made from manmade fabrics. This is because natural fibres, such as cotton and linen, will not pass the strict flammability safety standards with which costumes must comply. These standards are there to protect children whilst playing.
Care Guide
WASHING
Where possible, gentle care is best.
- Hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent
- Wash colours separately
- Avoid soaking for long periods
- Do not tumble dry
- Reshape gently while damp and allow to air dry naturally
If you choose to machine wash, use a delicate cycle at a low temperature and place the costume inside a laundry bag.
STAINS AND MARKS
Play can get messy and that’s part of the fun.
- Treat stains as soon as possible
- Dab gently rather than rubbing
- Avoid harsh stain removers or bleach as these can damage fabrics and trims
IRONING
Most costumes will not need ironing if dried carefully.
- If required, use a low heat setting
- Iron on the reverse side
- Avoid direct heat on trims, embellishments or printed areas
STORAGE
To keep costumes looking their best between adventures:
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Hang where possible or fold carefully
- Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading
