Description
The fairytale knight tabard is a brave and bold addition to any child’s dressing up box and perfect for fairytale adventures. Just the thing to wear if you spot a fire-breathing dragon!
It is handcrafted from a robust twill fabric, with a lovely attention to detail and is made to last as well as to enchant.
The tabard has a striking check pattern of bright blue and yellow squares both front and back. A row of bright red ribbon and yellow ric rac braid is sewn down the centre front. Within the yellow squares are a beautifully appliquéd castle and shield. The lower edges are decorated with sparkly silver ric rac braid which creates a chainmail effect.
Materials & Fit
Our costumes are made from manmade fabrics. This is because natural fibres, such as cotton and linen, will not pass the strict flammability safety standards with which costumes must comply. These standards are there to protect children whilst playing.
Care Guide
WASHING
Where possible, gentle care is best.
- Hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent
- Wash colours separately
- Avoid soaking for long periods
- Do not tumble dry
- Reshape gently while damp and allow to air dry naturally
If you choose to machine wash, use a delicate cycle at a low temperature and place the costume inside a laundry bag.
STAINS AND MARKS
Play can get messy and that’s part of the fun.
- Treat stains as soon as possible
- Dab gently rather than rubbing
- Avoid harsh stain removers or bleach as these can damage fabrics and trims
IRONING
Most costumes will not need ironing if dried carefully.
- If required, use a low heat setting
- Iron on the reverse side
- Avoid direct heat on trims, embellishments or printed areas
STORAGE
To keep costumes looking their best between adventures:
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Hang where possible or fold carefully
- Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading
