The reversible red/black hooded cape is beautifully handmade and designed to last as well as to enchant. A wonderful and versatile addition to any child’s dressing up box.
From adventures with wolves in the woods, gingerbread houses and poisoned apples to name but a few, there are so many fantastic fairytale and story book characters to choose from – and even more for children to conjure up themselves!
The cape is fully reversible in red and black which opens up lots of character possibilities. Beautiful bright red and white polka dot ribbon decorate the cape’s red edges and the ric rac braid is sewn into the seam so it shows on both sides. The gorgeous deep set hood evokes a magical fairytale feel.
It’s also a perfect instant costume for fairytales including Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel & Gretel, Snow White and more.
Materials & Fit
Our costumes are made from manmade fabrics. This is because natural fibres, such as cotton and linen, will not pass the strict flammability safety standards with which costumes must comply. These standards are there to protect children whilst playing.
Care Guide
WASHING
Where possible, gentle care is best.
- Hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent
- Wash colours separately
- Avoid soaking for long periods
- Do not tumble dry
- Reshape gently while damp and allow to air dry naturally
If you choose to machine wash, use a delicate cycle at a low temperature and place the costume inside a laundry bag.
STAINS AND MARKS
Play can get messy and that’s part of the fun.
- Treat stains as soon as possible
- Dab gently rather than rubbing
- Avoid harsh stain removers or bleach as these can damage fabrics and trims
IRONING
Most costumes will not need ironing if dried carefully.
- If required, use a low heat setting
- Iron on the reverse side
- Avoid direct heat on trims, embellishments or printed areas
STORAGE
To keep costumes looking their best between adventures:
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Hang where possible or fold carefully
- Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading
