Description
One of the most popular animals in fables, folk and fairytales. as well as children’s stories today, the grey wolf costume was the first character I designed!
Inspired by the simple and whimsical surface patterns and shapes found in folk art and woodcuts. The hat has pointy ears with black and white detail, gorgeous face markings and bright honey-coloured eyes. The tabard has a striking zig zag-shaped chest detail, designed to echo the appearance of the wolf's thick fur, together with a large squishy black-tipped tail.
Easy for children to put on and take off themselves, it makes an exciting instant costume for classic fairytale adventures, including 3 Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood.
Materials & Fit
Our costumes are made from manmade fabrics. This is because natural fibres, such as cotton and linen, will not pass the strict flammability safety standards with which costumes must comply. These standards are there to protect children whilst playing.
Care Guide
WASHING
Where possible, gentle care is best.
- Hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent
- Wash colours separately
- Avoid soaking for long periods
- Do not tumble dry
- Reshape gently while damp and allow to air dry naturally
If you choose to machine wash, use a delicate cycle at a low temperature and place the costume inside a laundry bag.
STAINS AND MARKS
Play can get messy and that’s part of the fun.
- Treat stains as soon as possible
- Dab gently rather than rubbing
- Avoid harsh stain removers or bleach as these can damage fabrics and trims
IRONING
Most costumes will not need ironing if dried carefully.
- If required, use a low heat setting
- Iron on the reverse side
- Avoid direct heat on trims, embellishments or printed areas
STORAGE
To keep costumes looking their best between adventures:
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Hang where possible or fold carefully
- Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading
