Pipe Cleaner Bubble Wands

Have lots of outdoor bubble fun and make your very own fairytale pipe cleaner bubble wand.

They are easy to make using pipe cleaners, beads and a biscuit or playdough cutter to provide the shape.

Why not create lots of different shaped wands?! Perfect for making fairytale wishes too!

You will need:

pipe cleaners (2 for each wand)
beads
biscuit cutters
scissors

How to make:

Wrap the pipe cleaner around the biscuit/playdough shape cutter and mould it into shape.
Twist the ends of the pipe cleaner around each other to secure and close the shape. Trim the ends if necessary and make sure the pipe cleaner wires are pressed under so there are no sharp edges.

Take the second pipe cleaner and thread 1 bead half way along. Fold the pipe cleaner in half so the bead is at the bottom. (This bead will prevent the other beads from falling off.)
Thread a row of beads through both ends of the pipe cleaner, stopping about 3 cm from the top.

Carefully wrap the top of the pipe cleaner handle around the star-shaped pipe cleaner to cover the join. Make sure it is secure and firm and any sharp ends are pressed under.

If your wand has slightly lost its shape after attaching the handle, you can simply pop the biscuit cutter back inside the pipe cleaner and re-mould.
